GTA 6: Rockstar confirms the release date of the most anticipated game in history

The new release of the popular video game follows the story of Lucia, an ex-convict who returns to Vice City, in an open world that is bolder than ever.

The long-awaited release of GTA VI has been officially confirmed for the fall of 2025, that is, between the months of September and November. As we had already anticipated at iTeen, this release date for GTA VI was confirmed by Rockstar Games, developer of the franchise, in its recent earnings report for the second quarter of 2025.

In this new release of Grand Theft Auto, players will be able to explore a completely renewed version of Vice City, a fictional city inspired by Miami, Florida, located in the also fictional state of Leonida. The gaming experience has been optimized for the latest generation consoles: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, where it will take full advantage of their technical capabilities to offer a superior visual and performance experience. Lucia and the return to Vice City

The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI broke records on YouTube by becoming the most-viewed non-music video in its first 24 hours of release. With over 90 million views in its first day, the trailer far surpassed the previous record, which belonged to famous YouTuber MrBeast, whose video racked up 59.4 million views. This success is a testament to the global enthusiasm that Rockstar Games’ new instalment has generated.
