Singapore might be famous for its futuristic skyline, shopping malls and spotless streets, but the city also has a surprisingly active skate scene. From huge concrete bowls to small neighbourhood parks, there are plenty of places to grab your board and spend an afternoon skating.

Whether you’re just learning your first ollie or looking for bigger ramps and technical obstacles, here are 10 of the best skateparks in Singapore.

1. SkatePark @ Lakeside Garden

Located inside Jurong Lake Gardens, Lakeside is one of the most impressive places to skate in Singapore. At nearly 17,000 square metres, the park includes five different skate zones, including a mini bowl, big bowl, plaza and beginner area. There is even a sheltered plaza for skating when the weather isn’t perfect.

Best for: All skill levels, bowls and long skate sessions.

2. Xtreme SkatePark – East Coast Park

One of Singapore’s most iconic skateparks, Xtreme combines a large street course with some seriously challenging transition skating. Its highlights include a combo bowl, quarter pipes and a 3.6-metre-deep vertical bowl designed for experienced riders. The seaside location at East Coast Park is a nice bonus too.

Best for: Intermediate and advanced skaters, bowls and big ramps.

3. Somerset Skate Park

If you want to experience Singapore’s urban skate culture, Somerset should be near the top of your list. Sitting right beside Orchard Road and Somerset MRT, the park offers rails, ledges, stairs, ramps and plenty of street-style obstacles. Its central location also makes it one of the easiest parks to reach.

Best for: Street skating and meeting the local skate community.

4. Stadium Skatepark – Kallang

Located around the Singapore Sports Hub, Stadium Skatepark is a relatively compact but fun spot with a clean layout and a mix of obstacles. It is particularly good if you want a relaxed session without the scale of Lakeside or East Coast Park, and the area is illuminated at night.

Best for: Casual sessions, street tricks and evening skating.

5. YouthCreates Skate Spot – Bishan

One of the newer additions to Singapore’s skate scene, this spot at ActiveSG Bishan Sport Centre opened in 2025. Its layout features banks, rails, quarter pipes and street elements while still leaving plenty of space for newer riders to practise.

Best for: Beginners progressing into street skating.

6. Yunnan Garden Skatepark – NTU

Hidden inside the Nanyang Technological University campus, Yunnan Garden offers a very different atmosphere from Singapore’s downtown parks. Surrounded by greenery, it features obstacles such as ledges, rails and a mini ramp in a quieter environment.

Best for: Beginners, relaxed sessions and skating away from downtown crowds.

7. Tampines Skatepark

Tampines is a small neighbourhood skatepark that proves you don’t need a gigantic facility to have fun. Its compact layout and lighting make it especially useful for local skaters who simply want somewhere to practise tricks for an hour or two.

Best for: Short sessions and local street skaters.

8. Woodlands Skatepark

Another small community skatepark, Woodlands is particularly suitable for riders who are still getting comfortable on a board. Its simpler obstacles and compact dimensions make it much less intimidating than Singapore’s biggest parks.

Best for: Beginners and younger skaters.

9. Jurong West Skatepark

Jurong West is one of several neighbourhood skateparks scattered across Singapore. It may not have the enormous bowls of Lakeside Garden, but its smaller scale makes it a useful local alternative for practising basic lines, transitions and tricks without travelling across the city.

10. Eunos Petal Garden Skatepark

Eunos Petal Garden is another lesser-known option worth checking out if you enjoy discovering neighbourhood skate spots. Smaller and more relaxed than Singapore’s famous central parks, it offers a different experience from the busy sessions at Somerset or East Coast Park.
